Iyengar yoga is a yoga system named after B.K.S. Iyengar by his pupils. It’s a yoga method rooted in the ancient teachings of Yoga that aims to make us free from pain and sorrow. It makes the physical body strong and healthy so that it can then be used to access the mind and make it calm, clear and focused. This in turn allows the practitioner to master the mind and maintain a sense of peace no matter what life throws at you.
